SHELTON, Wash. – With summer in full swing there’s a lot of recreational and water activity going on, and a medical emergency can arise without warning.  Would you know what to do before the ambulance arrives?  You can save a life by learning the basics of first response to a medical emergency.  Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics is presenting another community First Aid/CPR/AED course on Thursday, July 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. at MGH&FC’s Learning Center, located next to the Shelton McDonald’s on Olympic Highway North.

Learn how to apply the basics of first aid to adults, children and infants in this four-hour evening class.  A fee of $40 (exact cash or check) is required in advance to cover the cost of books and materials, an eCard can be made available to you upon successful completion of the course.  Comfortable clothing is recommended for all participants, and a Spanish interpreter can be provided on request.

Early registration is advised as the class fills up quickly, and advance registration should be made at least ten days prior to the class, or by July 2nd.  To pre-register, call the Learning Center at (360) 427-3609.
