VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO SHOWCASE MASON CLINIC

Release Date: Sep 25, 2019

SHELTON, WA – Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics is looking for volunteers to guide patients at Mason Clinic, our new 60,000-square-foot medical office building opening February 2020.

At Mason Clinic, volunteers will be expected to welcome patients and visitors, provide information and direction, deliver mail between departments, assist patients in wheel chairs, transport specimens to the laboratory and transport patients between departments and entrances.

Volunteers already make up an integral and necessary part of the workforce at Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics, serving everywhere from the Gift Shop to the Pharmacy and from the Development Office to the Information Desks. MGH&FC volunteers have worked more than 1,200 hours already in 2019 and continue to ensure the success of our District.  In 2018, our team of community volunteers contributed over 8500 hours which resulted in an in-kind donation of service hours valued at $269,620.

“If they are here for four hours a month or every day of the week, our volunteers help us put a human face to health care and hold out a helping hand to our patients, families, and visitors,” said Volunteer Coordinator Lonnie Hatman. “They are an integral part of our team.”
