MGH&FC's Cancer Wellness Program Workshop in March

Release Date: Mar 07, 2019

SHELTON, Wash. A cancer journey is tough to make on your own, and help from those who know what you are going through makes all the difference. MGH&FC, the Karen Hilburn Cancer Fund and Harmony Hill Retreat Center offer strength and support to anyone dealing with cancer through a series of monthly workshops in its Cancer Wellness Program. The second workshop in the series will be presented on Wednesday, March 13 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Pershing Meeting Room at Mason General Hospital.

Harmony Hill facilitator Melissa Layer guides the group with a new topic each month to help build confidence, emotional strength and coping strategies to anyone affected by cancer, including those in survivorship, their companions and caregivers.  The workshops are free and space is limited, so early registration is advised.  For more information and to register, call Kelly Mattheis, patient navigator, at (360) 432-7706 or email
