SHELTON, Wash.  A cancer diagnosis is never easy to take, and those facing the cancer treatment process need encouragement and support to achieve the best outcome. MGH&FC, The Karen Hilburn Cancer Fund, and Harmony Hill Retreat Center continue to offer their monthly Cancer Wellness Workshop program, and the April workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 10 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Pershing Meeting Room at Mason General Hospital.

Harmony Hill facilitator Melissa Layer, MA, LMHC-A, leads the workshops with a new topic each month that aims to help build confidence, emotional strength and coping strategies to anyone affected by cancer, including those in survivorship, their companions and caregivers.  The workshops are free and space is limited, so early registration is advised.  For more information and to register, call Kelly Mattheis, patient navigator, at (360) 432-7706 or email
