SHELTON, Wash. – Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics has a vision to unite the community and empower people to manage or overcome their health conditions by offering a number of support groups and services that meet regularly at the Hospital and in the surrounding area.

Support Groups and services that meet on a regular basis at Mason General Hospital include: MGHF Auxiliary, which meets the second Monday of each month at noon in the Pershing and Ellinor Room at MGH – contact Carol at (360) 426-8433. The 2019 MGH&FC Cancer Wellness Program, open to anyone affected by cancer, including caregivers, holds workshops every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the Pershing Room at MGH – contact Kelly at (360) 432-7706. MGH&FC’s Shelton Diabetes Support Group meets the third Thursday of the month (except July and August) from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Pershing Room at MGH – contact Debbie at (360) 427-7332. Narcotics Anonymous meets every Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Washington Room at MGH – call (360) 754-4433 for more information or visit www.spsana.org. Overeaters Anonymous meets every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at MGH ‒ contact Lori at (360) 970-8249 for more information.

The Shelton Alzheimer’s Support Group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Alpine Way Continuing Care Community, 900 W. Alpine Way. A complementary lunch for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregivers is also provided every 4th Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. ‒ call (360) 426-2600 for more information. MGH&FC’s Allyn Diabetes Support Group meets the fourth Thursday of the month (except July and August) from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Port of Allyn Building’s downstairs meeting room – contact Debbie at (360) 427-7332. Grief Support (Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice) for Mason & Thurston meets in Shelton on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Shelton Fire House building, 122 W. Franklin Street. The Thurston group meets at Lacey Presbyterian Church on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at 3045 Carpenter Rd. SE. The NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Connection Recovery support group meets every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Mason County Transit Center at 601 W. The Parkinson’s Support Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Alpine Way Continuing Care Community, 900 W. Caregiver Support Luncheons include a Support Group Lunch for Caregivers of loved ones with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or Dementia every 4th Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. and a Support Group Lunch for Male Caregivers caring for loved ones with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or Dementia every 3rd Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at Alpine Way Continuing Care Community ‒ call (360) 426-2600 for information.

Prostate Cancer Awareness & Support Group for Men and Significant Others meets at various times and locations – contact Dick at (360) 427-6875 or Jim at (360) 427-1981 for further information. To contact the Teen Sexual Assault Survivor Support Group call the Shelton High School Counselor’s office at (360) 426-4471 during the school year (free and confidential). Weight Watchers “Wellness that Works” meets every Tuesday at the Pavilion Senior Center in Shelton – Weigh-in is at 11:30 a.m. for the Meeting at 12:15 – contact Pat at (360) 229-9439.
