2019 "Goldsborough Creek Run/Walk/Jog" - Early sign-up discount!

SHELTON, Wash. – Mason County Forest Festival’s Annual “Goldsborough Creek Run/Walk/Jog”, the Kristi Armstrong Memorial Event sponsored by Centennial Guild, a chapter of Mason General Hospital Foundation, takes place on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Shelton.

The chip-timed event features a 7-mile Run/Walk, a 2-mile Run/Walk, a ¼-mile Junior Jog, and a ¼ mile Senior Walk, inviting runners and walkers of all ages to compete, or just have fun.  The deadline for early registration at the special rate of $25 is May12, after which the rate goes up to $30, and $35 on the day-of-race.  The Junior Jog (ages 3 to 8) entry fee is $15, for Senior Walkers the fee is $20, and Family, group and team discounts are also available. All Run and Walk participants will receive commemorative socks, and Junior Joggers get a medal and a children’s book at the finish line.

Check-in and day-of-race registration begins at 6 a.m. at the Shelton Post Office Park, 218 Mark E. Reed Way, Shelton.  All participants in the 2-mile and 7-mile events will be bussed from the Post Office to the starting line at Shelton Valley Christian School.  The 7-mile walk begins at 7 a.m., with the 7-mile run and 2-mile run/walk to follow at 8 a.m.  Senior Walkers and Junior Joggers will meet at the corner of 7th Street and Railroad Avenue to begin at 9:30 a.m.  Electronic chip timing is provided by Peak Performance Timing, LLC. All groups finish at the Shelton Post Office where an awards ceremony immediately follows at 9:45 a.m.  The Forest Festival Paul Bunyan Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Railroad Avenue.
