LAP-BAND, a non-invasive weight-loss
surgery and short stay procedure, is performed in the comfort
of MGH – where the staff is specially trained to care
for Lap-Band patients.
MGH also uses special-purchased beds and chairs designed for the comfort of Lap-Band patients.
Facilities that meet the Center of Excellence criteria are focused on quality measures, provide acontinuum of care that starts prior to surgery and extends throughout the member’s lifetime, and are proactive in quality improvement of processes affecting the member’s experience.
